Per questo non descriverò quello che abbiamo visto, ma quello che ho provato.
La sua storia è nota, ma vedere dal vivo la casa, il nascondiglio, l’unica finestra che dava sull’esterno e quel ramo di glicine, unico segno che la vita c’è e passa, le stanze vuote e spoglie, come la desolazione profonda che la sua vicenda lascia negli animi dei visitatori che da 60 anni varcano le porte dalla casa di Anna Frank.
Un senso profondo di commozione, disagio, rabbia e rispetto. Si, rispetto e pudore, nel toccare la finta libreria che nascondeva la porta che portava alla casa segreta.
Toccando quella maniglia mi è sembrato violare un luogo sacro, quasi profanare con superficiale sguardo vojeristico, tipico della nostra società che ignora e dimentica
Mi è sembrato di perpetuare l’orrore della violenza. Non avrei mai pensato di piangere per la storia, colpevole di aver distrutto la vita di una famiglia. Una sensazione per me nuova.
Pena e compassione per queste persone, pensando che potevamo essere noi quella famiglia, perduta e distrutta. Che pure ha sperato, si è illusa, ha vissuto fino al suo ultimo tragico momento.
Davvero la banalità del male, prorpio come l’ha descritta Hanna Arendt nel suo capolavoro letterario che porta esattamente lo stesso titolo e ci ricorderà per sempre come sono proprio glil individui banalmente comuni a poter compiere il male
Ho pianto, un pianto silente, perchè in qualche modo se chiudevo gli occhi sentivo il rumore assordante dell’irruzione. I loro spiriti e le loro vite consumate, meritano il silenzio.
E il ricordo vola ad un altro luogo di sofferenza che abbiamo visitato pochi anni fa, il campo di concentramento di Dachau.
Giriamo pieni di noi, e della consapevolezza che quello che abbiamo è sempre un bene prezioso che non va sprecato!
